- Campus is officially closed today, due to weather, so here is what we will do: Homework that was due today will be due Monday. I will post homework due Wednesday a little later today so you can begin working on it. As we talked about yesterday, the most important homework problem for Wednesday is the spin unknowns. You will need to run the spins simulation to do this problem. You should be able to run it from the link on the class syllabus on any computer which is java-enabled, including the computers in Weniger 304F. I am safely on campus and will be available in the classroom (Weniger 212) for extended office hours during the normal class time. If the doors to Weniger are locked, we'll check for you at the NE door of the building right before normal class hours. We will work on the spin unknowns problem as well as any lingering issues you have with yesterday's class. I will also hold extra office hours early next week in case you need them and don't feel that you should commute to campus today. Be safe!

- Welcome to the class! If we haven't met yet, please send me an
email message that tells me a little bit about yourself. Why are you taking
this course? What is unusual about you that you would like me to know?
