Physics topics: rotational motion, gravity, oscillations, fluids, waves, optics.
Measurable Student Learning Outcomes
- Gain better understanding of the material covered in PH 212
- Couple improved conceptual understanding with better problem solving ability
- Add historical and cultural background to material covered in PH 212
Evaluation of Student Performance
The grade is based on homework, final paper, and class attendance.
Full points for the homework requires doing the mathematics, but also writing a paragraph reflecting on the solution.
Homwork is due Thursday in class.
Learning Resources
The textbook is the same as for PH212. Office hours are scheduled for Tuesday from 1:30 to 3:30pm in Weniger 403.
