Results of midterm
15 point were essential “free”: Q3a)&b) and Q4a). Students with less than 20 points should be very concerned about passing the course.

Preparing for Midterm
The midterm will be closed book except for a 1 page cheat sheet (single sided, 8.5 x 11 inches) that you bring to the exam.
No calculators, laptops, iphones etc. are allowed during the exam.
I recommend practicing odd numbered problems from Chapters 3, 4, 8, 10 and 12. Look for problems that are related to homework questions, worksheet questions, class notes or in-class exercises. Hints and answers for these odd numbered problems are in the text book. See the instructor if you have trouble solving a practice problem.
The midterm questions will cover all material up to and including the del operator (definition and del and its application to finding grad, div and curl).
