POSTDOCTORAL SCHOLAR POSITION
We have an immediate opening for a postdotoral scholar position in single molecule biophysics.
POSITION SUMMARY:
We are recruiting to fill an opening for a full-time postdoctoral scholar in the area of single molecule biophysics in the laboratory of Dr. Weihong Qiu at Oregon State University. The successful candidate is expected to design and conduct research to investigate the molecular mechanism of cytoskeleton-based molecular motors using an interdisciplinary approach that integrates molecular biology, biochemistry, DNA nanotechnology and single molecule fluorescence microscopy.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-Ph.D. in biochemistry, biophysics, molecular/cell biology, or related field.
-Demonstrated record of scholarly publication.
-Experience in molecular cloning techniques, protein expression, and protein purification methods.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
