Materials Synthesis and Characterization (MASC)

MASC is an OSU Center that hosts shared facilities.

Co-Directors: Brady Gibbons and John Conley

Staff: Chris Tasker and Rick Presley

FIXME - we need more info here. The following is a stream of consciousness.

We pay $300/student/term for access to MASC facilities.

Every student needs training on MASC equipment. Rick Presley is the person in charge.

Lots of excellent equipment in MASC - browse the MASC equipment page at MASC Our PLD and Hall facilities are in MASC, so we allow others to use them, but subject to JT approval. (In the case of PLD, depends on our usage and what materials they want to use). Hall system is more or less pro-forma, but we have to train people. David Mc's spectrometers are also in MASC.
